As we grow into adulthood, life becomes relentlessly busy. Fatigue creeps in, and our days fill with never-ending responsibilities. Many of us were taught from childhood to complete one task before beginning another—a discipline meant to instill focus, but one that can hinder us in adulthood, especially when juggling multiple ongoing goals.

On April 26, 2025, I had the incredible honor of launching my book at the Elders for Change office—an event that will forever hold a special place in my heart. From the moment guests began arriving at 10:00 AM, the warmth and support from the community was palpable. We started with a moment of silence to honor a notable elder for change and acknowledged my adopted mother, Annette Toby who was sadly unable to attend. As people mingled and enjoyed face painting and refreshments, I felt the true spirit of connection that defines our community.
